We are excited to offer multiple apprenticeship opportunities for Indigenous candidates to join our team at a leading Australian company in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
As an apprentice, you will receive comprehensive mentorship from qualified tradespeople and industry professionals, gaining hands-on experience while assisting in multiple multi-million-dollar projects. This exposure ensures ongoing work and development opportunities as you launch your career as a sheet metal worker.
In addition to gaining valuable skills and experience, you will benefit from a considerable apprentice wage under the EBA industry agreement, making this a unique opportunity to kick-start your career.
Once qualified, you will have significant earning potential, enjoy well above working conditions including frequent Rostered Days Off and holiday time, and above award daily travel allowance and industry allowances.
As an Engineering Fabrication Apprentice, you may be required to;
- Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Support experienced tradespeople in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing complex control systems.
- Participate in and contribute to multi-million-dollar projects, gaining hands-on experience in a range of engineering tasks.
- Follow safety protocols and industry best practices to ensure a high standard of work.
- Continuously learn and develop skills through mentorship and on-the-job training.
- Maintain a professional attitude and contribute positively to the team environment.
What we are looking for in an Engineering Fabrication Apprentice;
To be successful in this role, there are a few things we are looking for:
- Must identify as an Indigenous Australian.
- Genuine interest in engineering and a willingness to learn about air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles is an advantage but not essential.
- Commitment to completing the Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication apprenticeship program.
- Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic about starting a career in this industry.
